# Orbi — name, character and artwork

The [MIT License](LICENSE) covers the **source code** of Orbi. It does **not** cover the brand and the artwork listed here, which remain the property of Rafly Lesmana:

- the name **“Orbi”**;
- the **Orbi character**, the black hole with eyes — its design, look, expressions and animations as a character;
- the **app icon** and **tray icon** (`windows/src-tauri/icons/`, drawn by `windows/scripts/gen-icons.mjs`);
- the **sounds** (`shared/sounds/`, made by `windows/scripts/gen-sounds.mjs`);
- the **images** in `docs/media/`.

## Where Orbi comes from

Orbi began as a fork of a project by Louis Raillé (see the README's Origin section), released under the MIT License, whose copyright notice is kept in [LICENSE](LICENSE). That project's name, the name “Mochi”, the Mochi character and that project's artwork belong to Louis Raillé; they are not part of this repository and this file grants nothing about them.

## What you can do

- Build and run Orbi from this repository, for yourself, as it is.
- Fork it and contribute back with pull requests.
- Show, review, write or talk about Orbi (articles, videos, posts), including screenshots.

## What you can't do without written permission

- Publish or distribute an app, a fork or a derivative work under the name “Orbi”, or with the Orbi icon, the Orbi character or the Orbi sounds — on GitHub releases, in an app store, or anywhere else.
- Use any of these assets commercially, or in a way that suggests your project is Orbi or is made or endorsed by its author.

If you fork Orbi to ship your own app, that's welcome under the MIT License: just give it **your own name, icon, character and sounds**.
